Listing a truly unique stay on Airbnb, A local beekeeper in Italy is hoping to create awareness around the importance of bees. The one-of-a-kind accommodation offers guests the opportunity to sleep in a honeycomb-shaped structure while sharing the space with a million buzzing roommates. The ceiling features a unique handmade box that functions as a beehive, allowing visitors to experience busy bees at work.

The structure is surrounded by apiaries (structures designed to function as beehives) and ran on solar-powered energy, proposing a regenerative approach to travel. Host Rocco Filomeno describes the benefits of the unique experience. “This is the first place in the world where you can sleep immersed in the distinctive sound and aroma of the bees, experiencing ‘bee-therapy’ in the most authentic and natural way,” says Filomeno.
