Nike has began its foray into the Metaverse, launching an immersive world experience on Roblox. Inspired by Nike’s actual headquarters, NikeLand features digital arenas for the Roblox community to test their skills in various games. Not only does NikeLand create a representation of the Nike brand in-game, but It also provides a digital showroom where users can outfit their avatar with digital Nike products. Apple Insider recently reported that Roblox is iPhone’s biggest gaming earner with US$3 million in revenue per day. Roblox said purchases of the platform’s Robux in-app digital currency increased 28% in the third quarter of 2021 to $637.8 million. Entrepreneur.com recently reported that the Metaverse could represent an $800 billion market by 2024.
