A recent study by Deakin university found that business leaders, are more optimistic about their company’s profit forecast when the sun is shining. By analysing a large sample of US public firms, the study found that a sunshine-induced good mood leads managers to make upwardly biased earnings outlooks. The study suggests investors might want to check the weather forecast before making financial decisions.
