Building on Nike’s work refurbishing basketball courts in cities like Paris, Beijing and Mexico City, the sportswear company recently transformed the Shek Lei Grind court in Hong Kong. Using up to 20,000 pairs of used sneakers in the court’s surface, Nike adopted a community-first approach by working with a local nonprofit on youth programming to promote social mobility and inclusivity within the area.
