Eternal Life
5 May, 2022
Somnium Space, an open-source virtual reality platform, has launched a new feature called ‘Live Forever’. The concept was developed when CEO Arthur Sychov lost his father to cancer.
The amount of data that can be collected from a VR user is up to 300 times than data collection via mobile phones. VR technology can collect the way your fingers, mouth, eyes, and entire body moves and and quickly identify you more precisely than fingerprints. The feature gives users the ability to store this data and use it to create an avatar that moves, talks, and sounds just like them, and will live on in the metaverse forever. According to Somnium Space, this other version of you can continue to evolve alongside artificial intelligence technology in the coming years, even if data was collected years ago.
